Burning Star Edition Olive Drab FireROD V2 by EXOTAC

The Burning Star Edition of the EXOTAC FireROD V2 is now available. The FireROD V2 is the standard fire rod Kevin Estela uses while teaching survival courses and exploring the great outdoors. The FireROD V2 has a threaded removable ferro rod that can be replaced when it is worn down after being used well. The handle is a compartment that holds two pieces of quickLIGHT, a man-made fire starting tinder that has been used by the military for decades. As a backup tinder, the lanyard that it comes with has a flammable strand inside of it that can be scraped, sparked, and lit as a slow burning match. 

If you plan on carrying the Estela Daily Duo with your favorite Swiss Army Knife, this is the ferro rod that the pouch was designed to carry. The back of the wood saw, awl, and can opener can all be used as a ferro rod scraper. EXOTAC is an American company based out of Winder, GA and a long-time supporter of Kevin Estela, LLC.
